Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor on WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor and morning reporter at WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's reports about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to states authorities again releasing a more stringent directive regarding these instances. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell's experience in Charleston led her to serve as a co-anchor, reporter and anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before she joined Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as the NBC weekend co-anchor. The present role of O'Dell as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She co-hosted several of pre-shows and arrivals shows for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. She also hosts the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
